In ECDIS, in order to reproduce the IHO colours for ECDIS, a colour calibration at the monitor must be performed to transform the CIE-specified colours for ECDIS into the colour coordinate system of the screen. Calibration will ensure correct colour transfer at the time a DISPLAY leaves the manufacturer’s plant.
