Any formation of natural origin that con­stitutes an integral part of the LITHOSPHERE. The natural occurring material that forms the firm, hard, and solid masses of the ocean floor. An isolated rocky formation or a single large STONE, usually one constituting a danger to NAVIGATION. See ROCK AWASH, SUNKEN ROCKS, PINNACLE and ROCK WHICH COVERS AND UNCOVERS.
